The Northern Metropolitan Region

 

The Northern Metropolitan Regional Council of Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) is one of nine Regional Councils throughout Victoria, established in 1991. The Local Government Areas that form the the Northern Metropolitan Region are Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Moreland, Nillumbik, and Whittlesea.

Regional Council

There are fourteen Regional Council members on the Northern Metropolitan Regional Council. Twelve are appointed by the Minister for three year terms and two are co-opted by Regional Council for a one year period. It is the responsibility of each Regional Council to support the growth and development of adult education in their region in accordance with ACFE Board policies.

Regional Office

The Regional Office administers the region on behalf of Regional Council and is managed by a Regional Director, with the assistance of Provider Development and administrative staff.

It manages the administration of funding, supports provision, and monitors and evaluates education and training programs offered in the region’s ACE providers.
